Study the chronology

National Sports Council's elite director, Arrifin Ghani, issued this statement on Friday.

KRONOLOGI MENGENAI ISU
’PENUMPANG TERHORMAT – RM 230, 000 HANGUS’ :
KEGAGALAN PASUKAN HOKI (LELAKI) DI KEJOHANAN HOKI KELAYAKAN OLIMPIK 2008, JEPUN (5-13 APRIL 2008)

1. Makluman Am

a) Pengurus Pasukan = 1 orang
b) Jurulatih (termasuk Konsultan) = 4 orang
c) Pegawai Sokongan Pasukan :
i) Doktor Pasukan = 1 orang
ii) Pembantu Perubatan = 1 orang
iii) Tukang Urut = 2 orang
iv) Pegawai Pemakanan = 1 orang
v) Chef (sediakan makanan halal) = 2 orang
vi) Pegawai analisis sukan = 1 orang
d) Pemain = 18 orang

Having all the necessary support and beyond, Malaysia must be the envy of many international teams and probably the only one in the world that trains fulltime all year round.
But how to improve if the coaching staff are all duds, interested only to enrich themselves with ridiculous salary demands and partners in crime involving players in $ lending business!
All they talk about everyday is their dis-satisfaction with their current salaries not tactics and how to improve the team and they live very well, living in big houses and getting around in Merc and Harrier mind you.
Come onlah, MHF and NSC, do something before it's too late. We need credible people in the sport not these goons.

Mat Jenin berkata....

Memang wajar utk En. Epin menjelaskan justifikasi rombongan ke Jepun kerana melibatkan wang rakyat dan wang keringat saya tapi...

1) En. Steady lah bai!
Semua ini mencecah jutaan ringgit, En. Epin.
Amacam, boleh kasi breakdown tak, rakyat nak tau.

2) Bandingan jumlah perbelanjaan dgn pasukan Jerman...utk menjustikasikan perbelanjaan kita munasabah.

Jawablah.....

Ariffin

He is covering his backside before people question him further. Sudahlah.. jadi Manager Juniors dua kali, dua dua kali pun gagal. Takapa dah buat duit ok lah bro..

Bila Manager, Sarjit - 10-2 punya director was the coach.. Ada understanding daripada dulu between them.

Selepas dengar komen drp semua hoki lover. Satu bahi cover lagi satu bhai...

Bawa Satwan balik. At least dia tak bias..

MHF dan NSC bawalah pemain seperti Nor Saiful, Mirnawan, Maninderjit, Ow Soon Kooi, Ramakrishnan, K dhaarmaraj dan lain-lain. Dengar Nor Saiful was sacked by the arrogants after naming him to coach the National U-16 last year.

The old man@dummy master go to temple and praylah in Klang. Dont waste time with the arrogants and do sin..

One eye Jack from negeri go back to TNB and do your meter reader job. How can he see the numbers on the meter with one eye! This is world record!!! Can be a good darter than a negeri coach. Waste of time...

Time for Satwant, Caoch Steven and some former players get together and do something...

About the money how NSC spend on the team is only based on one tournament. What about the Journey to the Qualifiers. Ariffin if want to compare with Germany, do it apple to apple, not apple with langsat...

What a disgrace, the cost also includes your expenditure to Japan.

Rizal bro..

At least you have created this blog for the hoki lovers to renedy and inform the truth and dissatisfaction about MHF and arrogants.

Good Night brother Rizal..

Shall login again soon.

Some points to ponder

1. In 2000, Malaysia played the Olympic qualifiers in osaka, Japan. There was no cook or 'pegawai pemakanan' (could someone tell me what the #%@! that is).
The manager at that time, Datuk Yogeswaran made arrangment for food to be brought over from Malaysia (deep freeze) and the players brought their own rice cookers and microwaves plus bags of rice.
They had no problems eating then and even qualified for the 2000 Games.
So why the need for three "food specialists?"
If they insist on chefs, two would be more than enough, no need for 'pegawai pemakanan'

2. Why four coaches? Since there is a Con-sultant, a coach and a goalkeeper coach would suffice. No need for an assistant coach. The CON-sultant and be assistant or maybe the head coach can be the assistant while the CON-sultant takes charge of the team. Come to think about it, why even have a manager if he isn't going to contribute.
At least Yogeswaran could have helped out the coaching side as he is a brilliant tactician.

3. As Mat Jenin posted, the actual cost is much higher than the figure quoted by NSC's Arriffin. No need for me to repeat but it makes one wonder what much has been spent on the team.
What happened to all the spying trips and the reports?

4. The story doing its rounds in the hockey circle is that Sarjit didn't sign his new contract as he wanted to wait until after the qualifiers so that he can come back and demand for more when the team finish second (incredible but true).
He is asking for upwards of RM20,000!!! What the hell for? So we can boast of having drawn 4-4 with Italy?
Mama mia, talk about having your chapati and eating it too.

5. A far-fetched theory ... is Sarjit such a bad coach (yes) and/or did the players try to fix him up (unlikely).
For those with long memories, it was rumoured than Sarjit was the ring leader to oust Terry Walsh as coach by throwing away the World Cup qualifiers in Poznan, Poland 15 years ago. What goes around comes around?

6. Favouritism. Certain players were left on the bench because the coach had issues with them. Some of the players questioned the rational of having a greenhorn, who also hardly played at all in Japan, for the tournament.
Was someone doing somebody a favour?

7. KLHA have alleged that Sarjit has told players they would only be picked for national duty if they play for certain teams. Perhaps someone from KLHA will have the guts to step forward to confirm this.
If this is true, action must be taken.

8. When the football team fails, as usual, the criticism is non-stop. Why the defeaning silence? (See a letter posted on this blog, which may explain everything).

9. MHF officials, especially the big two, can be described as dumb and dumber, although that may be an insult to dumb people.
Tunku Majid spends more time trying to become the Johor regent than on hockey.

10. Debts. Where have all the money gone too? In the Champions Trophy last December, the officials were paid more than two weeks late.
Hotels are still owned money. Ball boys not getting their dues.
Where are the sponsors?
Say what you will about Sultan Azlan Shah and Tan Sri Alagendra but MHF never were in such more debt.

I could go on but I've already taken too much space.

Hope Malaysian Sports' Loose Cannon can investigate.

Heart broken hockey lover

Saudara Rizal,

Maybe we should get Citizen Nades to investigate and expose the ills and current sad state of affairs plaguing Malaysian hockey.
What say you, bro?
