Conspiracy to topple Nadzmi

Someone is really subscribing to the kaizen approach in trying to undermine and overthrow BA of Malaysia president, Datuk Nadzmi Salleh.

Berita Harian sports editor Norbakti Alias revealed in his column on Tuesday that an effort to kick the Kelantanese corporate captain from the hotseat began in earnest on Apr 2, when a businessman's name was proposed by certain quarters over a seafood dinner to challenge Nadzmi for the BAM presidency in the elections next year.

If you ask Nadzmi for his views on the local transport industry, he could perhaps provide us an insight into its intricacies and its future path.

But when it comes to badminton, which is surely the sport that can provide Malaysia a short cut to the elusive Olympic gold, the man trained in actuarial science needs a crystal ball to figure things out. Only then is he able to tell whether or not he would still be captaining the ship come the elections in June next year.

Bro

Mungkin Andrew Kam nak jadi President kot, Kalau tidak suruh bakti la jadi president , since di a tahu banyak isu mengenai badminton. Kalau Bakti takut , suruh En Khawari jadi proxy Bakti, afterall dia yang tulis Bakti punya Column kan. Jijik la dengan pariah pariah sukan ini.

saudara anonymous,
firstly, i would prefer if you identify yourself so we could have more open and transparent discussion. hiding behind the cloak of secrecy is not the responsible way, saudara.

in your eagerness to prove me as pariah, you overlook many things. bro rizal could provide enough testimonies to prove that, hand in hand, both he and i tried our best to unfold whatever wrongs in the malaysian sports scene...thats what responsible journalism is all about, saudara.

i appreciate the openness that the blogsphere provides, but throwing baseless accusations without the burden to prove any of it is something which is not right, or even, not morally right...

we expose wrongdoings when we have prove of it..responsible journalists didnt simple discredit people just for the sake of discrediting without proof...thats what a true jornalism is all about, what they taught me in journalism school.

Anonymous 11.07am,

Janganlah tuduh orang sebarangan.

Aiyaa, nothing newlah. They have been trying to get Nadzmi for a while.
Earlier this year, one of your proteges in The Malay Mail, Haresh Deol, wrote about it in the 19/1/2008 issue of the Weekend Mail (Serving a can of worms).
He wrote about a move to sabotage Malaysia's Olympic preparations, the move to get Nadzmi out, the desire by certain people to kowtow to some BWF.
Looks like nothing has change ... excpet that Siti Hasmah is no longer BAM patron, replaced by Rosmah (it is said Siti Hasmah withdrew).
By the way is Nadzmi Mahathir's man? You should know better but if he is, it might explain a lot.
Or maybe I'm just being cynical.

ps: bila nak belanja makan with duit VSS?

sy sedar sebagai media practitioner, kesemuanya mempunyai pandangan tersendiri...dan bukan sekadar "wartawan lokasi" mahupun "wartawan press release"...

cuma sy tertanya-tanya....dah ramai vocal journalists....tp adakah suara2 vocal ini benar2 didengari?...

this is not just "cause and effects"...cuma nak tahu....ada ke?...

sekarang ni makin ramai yg vocal tp dlm masa yg sama, makin ramai yg pekak...

dulu vocalnya mungkin lain skit nadanya...tapi dulu ramai yg mendengar....

nasib baik local council tak approve...bayangkan kalau diorang setuju....berkemungkinan dr 70 juta jadi 490 juta....

sy setuju wartawan penyampai wadah rakyat...cuma sampaikah wadah tersebut?...kekadang terpikir...wartawan menyampaikan dr rakyat kpd rakyat....tak sampai atas...umpamanya surat yg di hantar tp posmen buang....

Bro Rizal and Khawari

Macam isu Punch Gunalan and Gangga Rao, sekarang what has happen to Gangga sembunyi habis, very quiet. So I hope lain kali penulis dapat memberi komen yang tulus dan yang ikhlas la bro.
Sekali lagi saya minta maaf kepada saudara berdua.

Sekian Salam

Onn
