Our very own Malaysian driver, Fairuz Fauzy, has begun to truly show his mettle in the World Series by Renault Formula 3.5, which is according to many, the step before F1. Fairuz, including several other selected drivers, were chosen to undergo an orientation programme conducted by ING Renault's Formula 1 Team.
His efforts and performance have piqued the interest of many parties, including the famous Kayu Nasi Kandar. Ah...the smell of nasi kandar and burning rubber...Mofazfortec played hosts to VIPs at Silverstone two weeks ago by serving home-cooked cuisine courtesy of Kayu.

maybe Bro Alex Yoong could give a few tips
Am glad to see a "nasi-kandaq" powered racer arising from our midst. True-blue, very authentic 'Barangan Tempatan", no less. Way to go, Fauzy!
OOps, in my haste, pi salute his dad.. LOL.. Way to go, Fairuz!!
Maam, now that you've inadvertently mentioned his dad, hj fauzy too deserves credit. Fairuz would not be where he is today without his father's massive investments, patience, guidance and perseverance. Let's hope the nasi kandaq-powered team take Malaysia places...
Hear, hear!
Yup.. Motorsports needs more dads like Hj Fauzy, Datuk Jaafar Abdul Hamid (Jazeman's dad), Hanifah Yoong.. etc..
But the problem is, when the dads invest, the follow-up support seldom comes and when it does come, it is half-hearted, not all the way...
So today is July 15, whats the big hype all about?
..and so, as a country, we put our hope on individuals, as in Fairuz, the father unfettered by the politics of associations, to bring up the glory of sports...as also the case of Nicol..but in team events we failed..
His aim should be World no 1 such as Nicol David, Lee Chong Wei and the women's badminton doubles team have attained.
