Over the years, I've grown tired of pouring scorn on the FA of Malaysia. When compere Hafizal Hamad gave me a few seconds for my closing remark on Wisel Penamat@TV1 on Saturday, I looked at my fellow panellist, Ahmad Fuad Daud, who is the head of competitions at FAM, and said: "Saya percaya peminat akan menyokong FAM jika keputusan dibuat secara telus, ikhlas dan secara merit." This was in response to Fuad's plea that the fans continue to support local football and FAM instead of putting the blame for our woes solely on FAM's shoulders.
But one can't help but feel sad, upset, disappointed and disgusted reading Ahmad Khawari Isa's RM6 million headache and End of clubs in top league as well as Jaiho's How about some fairplay and Same Old Story Same Old Rubbish.
Aug 3 was supposed to mark a new start for the FAM, with the announcement of a so-called new league structure. The announcement never came, resulting in Khawari's speculative piece which is probably the route FAM would take. Kicking the clubs out of the top-tier is nonsensical.
And FAM's decision not to award Harimau Muda the RM200,000 that goes with the Premier League title is...aiya, I'm tired lah!
