Qilin-g time? Definitely not...

A former PKNP footballer is currently imparting his knowledge to a youth club in Shanghai, China. Check out this website http://www.qilinfootball.com.

I'm sure Shazwan (picture) has tons of stories to share. Teaching kids the proper basics in a huge country like China must be quite a daunting task.

Whether or not he has the necessary credentials is secondary. Once he comes back for good, we need people like Shazwan to work with our kids.

"Educating the coaches, this is to me a priority. I have learnt a lot in my 7 years in Shanghai working with international coaches. We coach kids aged 6 to 16 and when I look back at my playing days, the approach is entirely different. What my youth players get now I did not get even when I was still playing at the age of 24 !!

"No2..Development...What are we doing with our own youth players? We have the potential, that's for sure. I see it for myself, but what went wrong? We need to have a big pool of players to choose from. We can't just select 18 youth players to play for the State, train them for a tournament, then they break up. There has to be continuity. Those who are not selected should also be kept together (district level) and train as usual to compete for places in the State team. This has to start from young.

"No3...Progress...Now our players in the M-League have lost the appetite to improve themselves. It's human nature that if you are doing well, you tend to take your foot off the pedal. Yeah..you can hit 30 goals a season in M-League, but then at international level, you look like a school boy playing against men...Our young players need more exposure to play outside of Malaysia..be it in competition..be it in attaching themselves with overseas clubs...then they'll know that they have to improve to get a slot...over here (foreign kids) we have a few kids being scouted for the USA Cup..they receive offers to continue studies and play football in the US...and they grab it..their parents allow it...To be honest, we have much much better players than these players but if we don't go out and gain those experience, progress will be stagnant...and in the end, those who did go out and gain exposure will eventually be better players than those who stayed."

Itulah nak salahkan siapa FAM atan state FA. Dua-dua pun kita sibah air panas

Rep Maldip,

Bagus cadangan anda. But before that, why not you implement all of this kat pulau tempat you cari rezeki skrg ni...

anonymous/rep bangla,
Maldives ref is giving his honest opinion on how to excel further for the FAM committees to review their rotten policy and poor management. I was surprised that Maldive national team gave a good fight agst our national team on their last friendly match last year considering their population of 385,000 agst 26 million. Best still they don't have a professional league and best stadium. Nak tengok sejarah, FAM should look at their past and review what is good. why no chinese want to play football? how many qualified teacher in primarily and secondary school know how to train and teach football? if you two maggots can answer this questions then you are on top of FAM

Rep Bangla,

saya setuju dengan akar dan our maldives ref

Tak ada local league so macam mana pemain-pemain nak tunjukkan persembahan mereka dan kejohanan di peringkat sekolah hanya cuma memenuhi kelender mereka sahaja

so sama-sam kita fikirkan sebab ianya melibatkan kementerian pelajaran, FAM dan state FA

Maldives Ref,

Aku sokong kau kalau dulu.Kita dah cuba import ke, local ke...sama aje.Kau tengok mat indo mula main selangor wah betul2 hebat lepas tu import ape..taik b...

Dia org tu dah hot sgt kat FAM

iNILAH PERANGAI ORANG MALAYSIA.

Kuman kat seberang nampak, gajah depan mata tak nampak.
Intan kita korang kata kaca, orang luar kata intan.
Bila orang beri pendapat, korang hentam keromoh, lagi gantung, Sumbangan korang apa? Entah2 tiket RM10 pun tak beli. PIRAAAH

BELILAH BARANG MALAYSIA

No case gaji tak bayaq 7-8 bulan.
7.Lampirkan statistik sistem bakat akar umbi.

Salam,

1. Kalau Malaysia nak main di World Cup/next level, kita kena start export players / coaches main kat liga luar..player import takleh nak improve player kita, cuma improve poket sendiri ja..

2. Contoh terbaik: Nigeria, Senegal, Korea, Morocco etc banyak player main kt oversea dan boleh bawak negara pegi World Cup.

3. Msia terlampau terpengaruh dan taksub dgn EPL. Tapi cuba tgk prestasi England kt World Cup, dah terjwb kenapa perlu export players, bukan import masuk liga kita..

4. Kalau kat liga singapore / indonesia pun pemain kita tak layak, cmna nak pegi next step..

'Pemain import' di Qatar.
