Au revoir, Les Miserables

France's 2-0 defeat to Italy in the Euros marked the end of a golden generation that swept almost everything before them.

Thuram, Makelele, Coupet and Henry may have worn the blue jersey for the last time, paving the way for a new generation to take over.

Thuram made his debut alongside Zidane in August 1994 under Jacquet and was an integral member of the team that lifted the World Cup in 1998, the Euros in 2000 and the Confederations Cup in 2001 and finishing runners-up in the 2006 World Cup.

To them, we say merci beaucoup.

Domenech, I expect, will step down to make way for either Deschamps, Tigana or Blanc.

By the time the next major tournament in South Africa takes place, I hope the French will qualify.

The team could read Frey, Sagna, Evra (Glichy), Gallas, Mexes, Diarra, Diaby, Nasri, Ribery, Benzema, Ben Arfa.

Expect Mandanda, Zubar, Mvuemba, Mavuba, Ricardo Faty to be a feature as well.

Au revoir...a bientot

Ah, do support Spain now bro. We Kopites stick together!

I've never had much regard for this French team. Too old. Italy got too much experience and perhaps, better firepower (though Toni didn't really impress that much)...

eh bro, tolong bagitau kat pas selangor, drpd protes kehadiran ella pada perlawanan veteran selangor vs singapura, adalah lebih baik pi protes kat johor jngn ual minyak kat pengguna singapura.

logiknya, ella dah tentu menyanyi kat mana2 pun boleh tp singapura dok angkut hak kita termasuk hak orang pas.

tolong bro. bagitau bro pas, tengokmkeutamaan bukannya kepentingan politik spnjang masa.

makelele had a disastrous tournament,he kept provoking ppls,,etc..and i dont undestand why domenech be so defensive even againts romania, he alwasy paired 2 defensive midfielder(makelele, toulalan). Nasri shouldve start every game,,so as benzema,,and probably ben arfa.

abang rizal,
sumber sumber i kat malay mail berkata bekas boss abang rizal, johnson 'game all' fernandez akan kembali sebagai editor sukan.
umno patut buat sesuatu.

Bro,

I saw the first half of the game. It was quite obvious to me the Italians showed more desire to win and were prepared to do more of the running. The French lost the ball quite easily too. Powered by aging stars passed their prime, I didn't quite see how they could extend their stay in Austria (or was it Switzerland)?
