Sentuhan emas maha Raja...loosely translated, King Midas' touch. With Raja, each telephone call or a meeting in the flesh would elicit a cynical remark from him. He would first lambast you, reminding you of the stuff you have commented or written before. He has this knack of remembering every single word uttered by yours truly on the national team. Read here. This before Raja was bestowed with a Federal Datukship.
Raja does not like to give interviews on TV besides the normal news interviews...he has done only three studio interviews after winning the AFF Cup, once with Siti Nurhaliza, twice on Kafe Sukan...thanks Datuk K!
In my conversation with Raja, among other things that I did not write was this:
Raja: Hey Rizal, you know when's my birthday?
LC: "Hmmm...cannot remember la coach...
Raja: July 10...
LC: Ah, ok...
Raja: Who else celebrate his birthday on that date?
LC: Wah trick question ah coach...ok you hold on...let me see...
Raja: Quick la...
LC: Must be someone prominent...wait ah...ah Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad! He has two birthdays Dec 20 and July 10...
Raja: Aha, so those born that date are natural born leaders...
LC: Eh ya la coach...you are correct la I guess...
So Datuk K and Tun M share the same birthday...

sy sgt yakin tdpt seribu satu kepintaran di dalam minda Dato Raja dalam sukan bola sepak.. Beliau telah memberi harapan dan jangkaan baru dlm bolasepak negara.. Melahirkan pemain berbakat adalah penting.. ttp turut pnting utk kita melahirkan jurulatih@pemikir yg baik utk membawa Malaysia ke persada yg lebih indah.. Teruskan perjuangan anda Dato Raja..

Cerita Dato K ni memang interelated dgn permergian tarikh pemergian Mokhtar Dahari sbb saya masih ingat lagi semasa Mokhtar meninggal pasukan Sukma Selangor menginap di Tabung Haji Kelana Jaya dan Rajagobal sebagai Penolong Jurulatih Ketua Jurulatih pada masa itu Jayabalan dan di sini bermulanya career kejurulatihan beliau kerana selepas SUKMA Sarawak beliau menjadi penolong jurulatih kepada Ken Worden team Selangor.
